Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A specialized trade and logistics terminal for storing metal, wood and products from it will be created in Syrdarya region.

The Government of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution "On measures to organize the construction of a specialized trade and logistics terminal in Syrdarya region".

The terminal will be created in 2020-2024 through the investment of the Chinese company “Xinjiang Guorui Economic & Trade Co., LTD”

To implement the project, it is planned to allocate a land plot on the territory of SGM “Farovon” in Saykhunabad district.

The investor is committed to investing US$25 million in investments in 2020-2024 and creating at least 200 new jobs.

An express laboratory will operate in the trade and logistics terminal. According to the “one-stop shop” principle, they will provide services for conducting and assessing the conformity of sanitary-epidemiological and environmental supervision, as well as customs and other public services.

For this purpose, the offices of the State Committee on Veterinary and Livestock Development, the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Health, the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection, the Uzstandard agency and the Uzdavkarantin inspection will be located on the territory of the terminal.

After the full implementation of the project, it is planned to provide state, customs and international logistics services.
