Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the President “On additional measures to ensure the implementation of legislation on nature protection in Jizzakh region" was adopted.

In order to rationally use natural resources in Zaamin and Bakhmal districts of Jizzakh region, to further improve the environmental situation in the region, the Zaamin Specialized Prosecutor’s Office was established in the system of the Prosecutor General’s Office to oversee the implementation of legislation on nature protection and eliminate illegal land use.

The main tasks of the specialized prosecutor’s office are the following:

establishment of permanent supervision over the implementation of legislative acts aimed at protecting nature, rational use and protection of lands for health and recreational purposes, lands of the forest and water fund, including the lands of the Zaamin National Natural Park and the Zaamin State Reserve, on the territory of Zaamin and Bakhmal districts of Jizzakh region;

taking measures to protect nature, prevent unauthorized seizure of lands for health and recreational purposes in the districts, as well as the construction of illegal buildings on them;

implementation of continuous monitoring of the targeted and effective use of forest and water fund lands in the districts;

the establishment of strict prosecutorial supervision over the observance of legislative acts aimed at protecting nature, subsoil, flora and fauna in the regions;

rendering assistance in the implementation of the established tasks for the further development of the potential of ecological tourism on the territory of the tourist and recreational zone "Zomin", the creation of favorable conditions for tourist trips, the organization of new tourist routes, the further increase in the tourist flow;

taking measures for early detection and prevention of cases of violations of legislation in the field.
