A specialist from the Republic of Korea becomes an advisor to the rector of AKFA University

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A specialist from the Republic of Korea, Professor Myung-Hee Chung, has become an advisor to the rector of AKFA University on the development of medical education.

Myung-Hee Chung earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Seoul National University. He received his Ph.D. from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center.

Over the years, he worked as an assistant professor, professor, visiting scientist, chair of the professor, and professor emeritus at the universities of South Korea, the USA and Japan. He is now the Emeritus Professor at Seoul National University and the Chair Professor of Gachon University.

He also headed various research centers and institutes, as well as scientific committees. Myung-Hee Chung is now also director of the Neuroscience Research Institute of Gachon University.

He also holds various positions in academic societies and scientific journals. The South Korean specialist is also the author of over 165 scientific publications.

It should be noted that Professor Myung-Hee Chung chaired the Gachon University committee to support the establishment of AKFA University.

– Professor Myung-Hee Chung made a huge contribution to the establishment of the Medical School at AKFA University. Now he will advise our university on the development of medical education in Uzbekistan. I am sure that Myung-Hee Chung’s extensive experience will help us raise medical education and health care to a new quality level, Rector of AKFA University Bekhzod Djalilov said.
