Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A special team is currently working to fix a malfunction in the main gas pipeline supplying natural gas to the Turakurgan thermal power plant in Namangan region. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Repair work is scheduled to be completed today, on 17 August, by 18:00. After the repair work is completed, the Turakurgan TPP will be put into operation after some time and will start supplying electricity.

Now, to restore the lost power, reserve power units of the Tashkent, Novo-Angren, Syrdarya thermal power plants and the Charvak hydroelectric power plant have been put into operation.
