Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan organized a reception on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan’s independence.
Opening the reception, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan Ibragim Junusov noted the strategic nature of bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. According to him, relations between the two countries meet the vital and long-term interests of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The ambassador stressed that further strengthening and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation with Uzbekistan is one of the priority directions of Kyrgyzstan’s foreign policy.
It was noted that Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have agreed on more than 94% of the border. According to the ambassador, currently only about 6% remain undescribed areas.
Ibrahim Junusov noted that the countries will continue to further build up the entire range of bilateral cooperation and interaction for the benefit of the friendly peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
The reception was attended by over 200 guests. Among them were politicians, artists, representatives of the diplomatic corps, prominent statesmen and public figures of Uzbekistan, representatives of the business circles of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, etc.
At the evening, the collective of the Kyrgyz choreographic ensemble "Jash kyyal" from Kyrgyzstan performed with dance numbers.
