Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 June 2021, a solemn event was held in the building of the Executive Committee of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure in Tashkent to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, in which Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Erkin Khamraev took part.
On 15 June 2001, in Shanghai, the heads of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, China, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan signed the Declaration on the establishment of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Over the past 20 years, the SCO has become an authoritative international structure and a responsible participant in the modern system of international relations. Today the organization is a reliable platform for fruitful cooperation in the interests of forming a polycentric world.
