Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A round table was held in Tashkent with a delegation of large companies from Germany and Austria.

The event, which was also attended by representatives of government agencies, industry departments and industrial associations, was organized with the aim of establishing and expanding cooperation with potential partners from Europe, bearing in mind the implementation of joint investment projects and the conclusion of mutually beneficial trade agreements.

During the event, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade S. Umurzakov made a statement, emphasizing the systematic and confident progress of Uzbekistan towards new reforms aimed at increasing the transparency of the economy and its readiness to continue integration into the global economic space, he invited European companies to take advantage of unique opportunities for conducting business in Uzbekistan, and also expressed readiness to provide comprehensive support in resolving related issues.

In turn, the leaders and representatives of European companies in a presentation format outlined their vision of plans for activities in Uzbekistan, voicing priority areas and industries for cooperation and mutually beneficial partnership mechanisms in joint projects.

After the round table, a session was held in G2B format, where representatives of European companies and their potential counter partners got the opportunity to directly discuss individual issues related to further cooperation.
