Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A third-grade student was found dead in the courtyard of a school in Surkhandarya region. This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Uzbekistan.

The agency notes that the incident occurred at school No. 15 of Denau district. On 27 September, at about 5:25 p.m., a local resident took a girl she knew to Sariasiya district.

After returning home, the woman noticed that the girl became ill, but did not provide her with the necessary assistance.

The woman, despite the worsening condition of the child, took the girl to the yard of school No. 15 and left her there. The girl died.

On this fact, a criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of article 117 (leaving in danger) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan, a preliminary investigation is underway.
