Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A representative office of the Tashkent Medical Academy (TMA) has opened in Seoul, South Korea.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the Tashkent Medical Academy, its South Korean partners, Uzbek diplomats, students studying at TMA and their parents, Dunyo news agency reported.

Murad Jafarov, Head of the International Relations Department of the Academy, informed the participants of the event in detail about the activities of the TMA and its capabilities. Participants were shown informational videos about the academy.

The South Korean partners who took part in the event emphasized the need to send many of their students to study at the Tashkent Medical Academy, as well as organizing the admission of Uzbek students to prestigious South Korean medical universities, including focusing on the development of cooperation in this area.

It should be noted that effective cooperation has been established between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea both in the field of medicine and in a number of other areas. Currently, the Tashkent Medical Academy has established mutual cooperation with more than 20 universities and clinics in South Korea.

As was repeatedly emphasized during the event, the opening of a representative office of the Tashkent Medical Academy in Seoul will further intensify Uzbek-South Korean relations in this direction.
