A project for the location of paid parking lots in Tashkent has been published

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Tashkent Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure has published a project for the location of paid parking spaces in the capital.

Earlier it was reported that paid parking will be created on 10 central streets of Tashkent. In February 2022, the President signed a corresponding resolution.

According to the plan, at the first stage it is proposed to create more than 2,200 parking spaces. About 72 parking meters will be installed.

At the same time, part of the parking spaces will be allocated for car owners with disabilities. They will be able to park for free.

Two cars with an automatic Parkon system will monitor the parking lots. Cars of the violators will be sent to the impound.

List of streets where it is proposed to create paid parking:

  • Glinka Street: 6 parking meters, 202 parking spaces, 20 of which are reserved for disabled car owners.
  • Bratislava Street: 2 parking meters, 84 spaces, 8 reserved for disabled car owners.
  • Mirabad street and passage near Mirabad market: 11 parking meters, 385 places, 35 reserved for car owners with disabilities.
  • Avliyota Street: 4 parking meters, 150 spaces, 15 reserved for disabled car owners.
  • Taras Shevchenko Street: 11 parking meters, 348 spaces, 34 reserved for disabled car owners.
  • Said Baraka Street: 11 parking meters, 348 spaces, 34 reserved for disabled car owners.
  • Moshtabib Street: 4 parking meters, 165 spaces, 16 reserved for disabled car owners.
  • Fidokor Street: 6 parking meters, 120 spaces, 12 reserved for disabled car owners.
  • Sadyk Azimov Street: 11 parking meters, 324 places, 32 reserved for car owners with disabilities.
  • Yakub Kolas Street: 6 parking meters, 180 spaces, 18 of which are reserved for disabled car owners.
