Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Resolution "On additional measures for the further development of hydropower" was adopted
According to the document, in the electric power industry by 2030, the capacity of hydroelectric power plants in the republic will be increased to 3,416 MW.
The resolution approved a program of additional measures for the further development of hydropower for 2021-2030.
From 1 January 2022, electric energy generated by hydroelectric power plants as part of Uzbekgidroenergo will be guaranteed to be supplied according to the types of activities and the tariff established for consumers of tariff group II:
- at hydroelectric power plants operating on a water stream - at a rate of 70 percent;
- at hydroelectric power plants regulated by a dispatcher, depending on the regime of the electric power system - in the amount of 100 percent;
- at hydroelectric power plants - at a rate of 150 percent.
The guaranteed purchase of electricity from newly commissioned solar, wind, biogas power plants (except for capacities of 1 MW and more on an industrial scale), hydroelectric power plants with a capacity of up to 5 MW in excess of generation for their own needs is carried out in the amount of 80% of the tariff set for consumers of group II.
Also, private investors (initiators) have the right to direct supplies on a contractual basis of solar, wind, biogas energy with a capacity of up to 1 MW and electricity generated by hydroelectric power plants with a capacity of up to 5 MW.
