A person who propagated the activities of the religious extremist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir was identified in Andijan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During an event held on 25 July by the law enforcement bodies, it was established that R.M., a resident of Khojaabad district, who was previously prosecuted, created a profile on the social network "Facebook" and on his page in friends, he distributed video materials promoting the ideas of the Hizb ut-Tahrir, banned in Uzbekistan, among 187 users of the site. 

This person had previously been prosecuted and served a sentence for his activities in Hizb ut-Tahrir. Such people abuse the trust of our people and government.

The law enforcement bodies initiated a criminal case under paragraph “d” of part 3 of Article 244-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a preventive measure was applied related to the arrest.
