A passenger, who hid more than US$21,000 in sneakers, was detained at the airport

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Employees of the Tashkent-AERO Specialized Customs Post identified and suppressed an attempt to illegally export cash foreign currency.

In the course of customs control of cargo of a passenger flying abroad, citizen G.U., in addition to the US$6,640 declared by the citizen in the passenger declaration, a total of US$21,970 hidden from customs control were found inside the sneakers and a package of tea.

Currently, on the revealed fact of the offense, customs inspections are continuing.
