Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A resolution of the President "On the fundamental improvement of the system of training personnel in the field of veterinary medicine and animal husbandry" was adopted.

According to the Resolution, on the basis of the Samarkand Institute of Veterinary Medicine, the Samarkand State University of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Husbandry and Biotechnology was established.

The university provides training of personnel with higher education for such industries as veterinary medicine, animal husbandry, biotechnology, agrotechnology and agroeconomics.

The Board of Directors of the University, approved by the Resolution, sets the terms for the duration of training in areas of education and specialties.

The university works in the system of the State Committee for Veterinary Medicine and Livestock Development.

In order to organize the educational process directly in close connection with practice, a Technopark of a veterinary clinic and disease diagnostics will be formed at the University.

The size of the paid contract for employees with five years of experience in this field, recommended for studying at the University on the basis of the recommendation, will be equal to the size of the paid contract (without scholarships) for full-time education in the direction of education.

From the 2022/2023 academic year, the Karshi Institute of Irrigation and Agrotechnologies will train personnel in the direction of "Technology for processing livestock products."

On the basis of the Kamashinsky technical school of the service sector, the Kamashinsky technical school of veterinary medicine was created.

From the 2022/2023 academic year, the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation will annually allocate a separate quota for the areas of "veterinary medicine" and "biotechnology".
