Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential Resolution "On measures to further improve the activities of the Medical and Social Expertise Service and the system for establishing disability for children" was adopted.
According to the Resolution, from 1 December 2021:
- in cases where a person for health reasons is unable to contact the medical and social expert commission of the Republican Inspectorate of Medical and Social Expertise, the establishment of disability is organized by going to the assigned territories, going to field meetings, to the hospital where the person is being treated or at home , as well as by correspondence examination;
- disability is established for an indefinite period when persons with anatomical defects with clear signs of disability are recognized without additional examination for obtaining clinical and functional data, without the participation of a citizen on the basis of an approved list of diseases;
- the medical and social expert commission in the certificates of disability gives recommendations on the professions in which persons with disabilities can work.
From 1 August 2022, in the city of Tashkent, and from 2023 in all other regions of the republic, a new electronic information system for recording and examining persons with disabilities will be introduced in the medical and social expert commissions of the “Medical and Social Expertise”.
According to the Resolution, pediatric medical and social expert commissions of the Republican Inspectorate of Medical and Social Expertise were created, in connection with which additional functions assigned to doctors of the Ministry of Health system for establishing disability for children under 18 years old were canceled.
