Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 August, the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports, Rano Juraeva, solemnly opened a new building for the operation of the search, emergency and rescue flight support service (SASOP) at Samarkand International Airport.

The new SASOP building was built in accordance with all the requirements of the international organization ICAO and has a classroom for theoretical training of personnel, workrooms, offices, an observation post for monitoring takeoffs and landings of aircraft.

After the grand opening for the guests of the event - representatives of Uzbekistan Airports, the Agency "Uzaviation", law enforcement agencies, managers and specialists of the services of the airport "Samarkand", a tour of the new building was organized, as well as familiarization with the combat readiness of the personnel of the SASOP. The event ended with a demonstration of the practical training of the fire fighting unit.
