Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As a result of the ongoing geological exploration, gas inflow was obtained from the next well at the Razzokbobo gas condensate field.

The Razzokbobo field site is located in Karaulbazar district of Bukhara region and belongs to the territory of the Mubarek oil and gas production department of Uzbekneftegaz JSC. The area was provided by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Geology and Mineral Resources to Uzbekneftegaz Joint Stock Company for exploration.

In order to continue exploration work at this field, on 11 August 2021, prospecting well No. 2 was drilled and drilled to a design depth of 2,900 meters.

Thanks to the fruitful work of our geologists, 2022 has begun a productive year. On 4 January, as a result of testing the filter of well No. 2 of the Razzokbobo field in the interval of 2850-2756 meters, an industrial inflow of natural gas was obtained from a productive layer of terrigenous-Jurassic deposits. The initial free flow rate of the well is 200 thousand cubic meters.

Geological exploration is currently underway at this well to determine the pressure, temperature, and geological parameters of the pay layer and to assess its production capacity on an industrial scale.

At the Razzokbobo field, within the framework of the program for the development and reproduction of the hydrocarbon raw material base of Uzbekneftegaz JSC for 2022, it is planned to drill the next exploration wells No. 3, 4.

The structure "Razzokbobo" was prepared by JSC "Uzbekgeofizika" for deep drilling in 2020 as a result of 2 seismic works, and in 2021 the "Razzokbobo" field was discovered with an industrial-scale production of natural gas from exploration well No. 1.

The area of the Razzokbobo field is 14.5 square kilometers, the prospective resources of natural gas of the C3 category are 2776.3 million cubic meters, condensate resources - 212.2 thousand tons, oil - 493 thousand tons.
