Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A moratorium on the construction of new facilities will be introduced in Tashkent until the master plan of the city is approved. This was stated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The President said that when issuing building permits, an accurate calculation of the load on the existing infrastructure is not made, and work on organizing green spaces does not go synchronously with construction.

The President set the task to bring the level of green spaces in Tashkent to 28% in 2023.

The head of state announced the launch of the Tashkent Green Belt project.

Within the framework of the project, 525,000 bushes of trees and shrubs, 20 million flower bushes will be planted in the spring season, the President noted.
