Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 October 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov, who is on a working visit to Nur-Sultan, took part in the first consultative meeting in the format "Central Asia - Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf" (GCC).
The event was also attended by the heads of the foreign affairs agencies of the countries of Central Asia, Bahrain and the Secretary General of the GCC, Naif al-Khajraf.
Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed on the mechanism of consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the General Secretariat of the GCC.
The document contributes to the further expansion of bilateral ties and provides for the establishment of regular consultations between the parties on issues of mutual interest.
