A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of ICT and the Acharya Institute (India)

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- An Indian-Uzbek business forum is being held in Delhi in cooperation with the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan.

This business forum is a platform for discussing and implementing potential investment projects in various fields, which serves to develop trade, industrial, transport links between the two countries, expand transit corridors between Uzbekistan and India.

In this regard, within the framework of this business forum, on 28 July, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications, the Khokimiyat of Bukhara region and the Acharya Institute (India).

As part of the memorandum, it is planned to open a branch of the Acharya Institute in Uzbekistan, in Karakul district of Bukhara region. In the future, this higher educational institution will produce specialists in the field of information and communication technologies.

It should be noted that the Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications Sherzod Shermatov on 19 January held a meeting with the leadership of the Acharya Institute, during which issues of opening a branch of this institute in Uzbekistan were discussed.

The Acharya Institute Network, founded in 1990, is one of the largest private educational institutions in Bangalore. It includes 10 institutes and 15 research centers. The network of Acharya Institutes has more than 15,000 students and 250 doctoral students from 75 countries. Education is conducted according to more than a hundred educational programs.
