Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A meeting with the leadership of the Japanese company Mitsui took place at the Ministry of Foreign Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan.
During the negotiations, the course of implementation of ongoing projects was discussed, as well as ways of cooperation in the near future.
During the dialogue, H. Meguro noted that according to his personal observations, the interest of Japanese business in cooperation with Uzbekistan has grown tremendously thanks to the efforts made by the governments of both countries to bring the Uzbek and Japanese business communities closer, and in particular the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan in December last of the year.
In turn, he voiced his readiness to support the attraction of Japanese investment in the private sector of Uzbekistan, presenting a number of promising proposals, within which the Japanese side is now ready to begin to study the target market and search for potential partners.
Concrete projects for the production of plumbing, building materials and components, vehicles, as well as opportunities for trade cooperation in organizing the supply of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan to third countries were examined.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on close cooperation in the framework of joint projects and cooperation in the search for potential business partners from the Japanese and Uzbek sides. Visits of Japanese companies to Uzbekistan will be organized to jointly study the sales markets, as well as the implementation of the initiatives proposed by Mitsui.
