Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 25 October 2022, a meeting was held at the International Institute of Central Asia (MICA) with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Uzbekistan Kim Hee-sang.

The guest was informed in detail about the goals and objectives of the MICA, as well as the activities carried out by the Institute together with foreign partners.

The head of the diplomatic mission highly appreciated the strategy implemented under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the large-scale modernization of the country and society, as well as the foreign policy course aimed at further developing and expanding cooperation with the countries of Central Asia.

The Ambassador separately noted that Uzbekistan and Korea are connected by centuries-old ties of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation, which serve as the basis for the successful promotion and deepening of the strategic partnership between the two states, the joint implementation of mutually beneficial projects in various fields.

Separately, it was noted that the 15th Cooperation Forum "Central Asia - the Republic of Korea" taking place these days in the city of Busan will help strengthen constructive dialogue and practical interaction between the countries.

An agreement was reached on intensifying cooperation between the scientific and academic circles of the two countries, including with the active use of the potential of the "Central Asia - Republic of Korea" format to identify promising areas of cooperation.
