Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 6 August, on the initiative of the leadership of the American Chamber of Commerce in Uzbekistan, an online meeting with companies - members of the chamber was held in the format of video conferencing.

The event was attended by the chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on international relations, foreign economic relations, foreign investment and tourism R. Alimov, acting First Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan I. Mukhtarov and representatives of more than 20 leading foreign companies.

During the meeting, representatives of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan answered a number of practical questions related to customs and tariff regulation in the implementation of foreign trade operations.

Foreign entrepreneurs highly appreciated the positive changes and measures taken in the country to improve the business and investment climate.

The readiness of the parliament and representatives of the relevant departments of the republic for an open dialogue was especially noted.

The meeting participants agreed to continue this format of constructive discussion of emerging issues in the activities of foreign investors.
