Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A meeting was held at the International Institute of Central Asia (MICA) with a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Israel, which is in our country to participate in the next round of political consultations between the foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Israel.
Members of the delegation, consisting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to the Republic of Uzbekistan Zehavit Ben Hillel, Director of the Department of Central Asia and the Caucasus of the Israeli Foreign Ministry Mikhal Hershikovich and Senior Analyst of the Center for Political Studies of the Israeli Foreign Ministry Vitali Avrahamov Azulai, were acquainted with the history of the creation of MICA, goals, objectives and current areas of activity, as well as activities carried out by the Institute.
The guests noted that the Uzbek-Israeli friendly relations have a deep history, highly appreciated the achieved level of fruitful interaction between the two countries.
They emphasized that thanks to large-scale reforms and transformations of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as well as his open and constructive foreign policy, a qualitatively new atmosphere of friendship, mutual understanding and trust has developed in the region.
In this regard, the interest of representatives of the Israeli scientific community and business to further expand multifaceted cooperation with Uzbekistan and other countries of the region was confirmed.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the dialogue to identify specific issues of bilateral and regional cooperation of mutual interest.
