Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 April this year, the Government Commission on Foreign Trade, Investments, Development of Local Industry and Technical Regulation under the leadership of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and composed of leaders ministries, departments, industry associations and commercial banks traveled to Navoi region to study the current state of the socio-economic development of the region, develop measures to further stimulate it, as well as analyze and solve problems faced in practice by entrepreneurs and exporters.
During the visit to the region, a meeting was organized with local business representatives, during which topical issues of a systemic and private nature were discussed.
More than 250 entrepreneurs and exporters took part in the event. The participants directly addressed the members of the Commission, voiced their problems, each of which was subjected to a comprehensive study.
After analyzing each case, the leadership of the Government Commission sent targeted instructions to responsible managers who, within a clearly defined timeframe, would have to take measures to solve the identified problems.
Also, the responsible heads of ministries, departments, commercial banks and local authorities were pointed out the need to intensify work on studying the economic, investment and industrial potential of the region in the context of cities, districts and mahallas in order to identify additional opportunities for increasing production capacities, developing industries, increasing efficient use of the economic potential of free economic and small industrial zones, while paying special attention to supporting youth entrepreneurship.
The event was broadcast online on the official resources of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, thanks to which entrepreneurs and exporters had the opportunity to contact the leadership of the Government Commission on Facebook and Instagram social networks. The appeals received were also brought to the attention of the members of the Commission and carefully studied, as a result of which specific solutions were developed for each issue.
Responsibility for the implementation of systematic control over the execution of instructions of the Government Commission is assigned to the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
