Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 December this year, the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Sodyk Safoev met with the heads of the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan abroad, ambassadors.

It was noted that our embassies abroad are making a worthy contribution to the development and strengthening of friendly relations with foreign countries.

During the meeting, the current state and prospects for the development of relations between Uzbekistan and foreign countries were discussed.

In particular, special emphasis is placed on the areas of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

In addition, it was noted that with the support of the heads of diplomatic missions, a number of works were carried out in the field of science and education, dozens of new higher educational institutions were opened, foreign professors and teachers are conducting classes in higher educational institutions of our country, and many successes have been achieved in this direction.

The meeting also exchanged views on joint activities aimed at enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation, emphasizing the importance of the visits and meetings held this year, a number of major international conferences.

During the event, issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in a number of other areas were also discussed.
