Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, a meeting with representatives of the Korean Embassy in Uzbekistan was held at the Cinematography Agency. The meeting discussed issues of cooperation within the framework of the Tashkent International Film Festival "Pearl of the Silk Road".

It should be noted that this September the Korean Film Festival coincides with the dates of the Tashkent International Film Festival. The Korean side has shown interest in joining efforts to hold a joint event. Also, representatives of the Korean Embassy offered their assistance in organizing the Tashkent International Film Festival.

The issue of holding a Korean Film Day at the Film Festival was also discussed. The program of the day is planned to be drawn up together with representatives of the Korean Embassy in Uzbekistan. Representatives noted that Korean films in DVD format have already been ordered for screenings at the Tashkent Film Festival.

The Korean side noted the need to invite celebrities from Korean cinematography.

The meeting also raised the issue of further negotiations on cooperation and strengthening ties between Korea and Uzbekistan.

At the end of the meeting, the representatives of the embassy were told about the project "Cultural heritage of Uzbekistan in the collections of the world", within the framework of which work with Korean museums is being carried out on a special edition of the book-album, which will be completed by the end of this year.
