Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 December 2022, at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Tokyo, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Vladimir Norov held a meeting with compatriots studying and working in Japan and Japanese citizens contributing to the development of the Uzbek-Japanese connections.

The participants in the dialogue are informed about the essence and content of the Address of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Oliy Majlis and the people of Uzbekistan, as well as the progress of the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan, incl. the main priorities for supporting compatriots.

Particular attention was paid to the ongoing constitutional reform in the country.

In their speeches, fellow citizens expressed their readiness to be involved in large-scale reforms carried out under the leadership of the President, to direct knowledge and experience to the development of the country. Gratitude was expressed for the attention paid to compatriots living in Japan.

In conclusion, a ceremony was organized to present letters of thanks from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan to compatriots and citizens of Japan, who make an active contribution to the development of Uzbek-Japanese relations.
