Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 March 2021, another extended video conference meeting of the Republican Commission on the systemic solution of women’s problems and their social support was held.
It was attended by members of the Senate, heads of ministries and departments, the chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and deputy khokims, as well as representatives of the media.
The meeting discussed the work to ensure the fulfillment of the tasks identified in the video conference call, held on 26 February under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on solving the problems of women, increasing the responsibility of state bodies for their social support.
It was noted that in 2021 measures will be taken to provide employment for almost 440 thousand women. Attention will be paid to establishing systematic work with NGOs to train women in professions (entrepreneurship), allocate preferential loans, create craft clusters, vocational training for women, and ensure their employment.
In addition, at the meeting it was noted that territories with a high rate among women for anemia, diseases of the respiratory system, digestion, and the cardiovascular system would be identified and taken under control. For this, depending on the type of disease, a narrow circle of doctors is involved and treatment is organized. In particular, by the end of 2021, it is planned to conduct an in-depth medical examination of almost 9 million women. To this end, the Ministry of Health and regional khokimiyats will organize work on drawing up a schedule for mahallas and take measures for targeted treatment of identified patients.
The expediency of identifying and monitoring areas with a high divorce rate, continuing, in the context of makhallas, systematic work with dysfunctional families in which early marriages and premature births occurred, assigning psychologists, health workers, internal affairs officers, teachers, religious ulema to these families and girls was emphasized. and lawyers.
At the meeting, attention was paid to the issues of continuous study of cases of suicide among women, including its causes and consequences, taking measures to provide qualified practical legal assistance to persons who have become victims of harassment, identifying and monitoring territories and industries with a high level of crime and crime among women, conducting internal affairs work individually with women who are prone to delinquency.
In addition, it was noted that senators, deputies of local Kengashes, representatives of trade unions will be widely involved in work in this direction.
At the meeting, these issues were critically analyzed and instructions were given to the heads of the relevant ministries and departments.
