Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 8 July, on the sidelines of the international conference of heads of prosecutors of European states, held in St. Petersburg, at the initiative of the Russian side, a meeting of prosecutors general of the CIS member states took place.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation between prosecutors in the CIS space were discussed, as well as topical directions for the further development of interdepartmental cooperation were outlined.

In addition, the Russian side proposed the candidacy of the senior assistant to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation V.P. Zimin for the post of Executive Secretary of the Coordination Council of CIS Prosecutors General.

At the same time, this proposal was unanimously supported by the heads of the Prosecutor General’s Offices of the CIS member states.

At the end of the event, the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation I. Krasnov invited the Prosecutors General of the CIS member states to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the founding of the Russian Prosecutor’s Office next year.
