Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4 September 2020, a meeting of the Kengash of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan was held, chaired by the chairman of the upper house of parliament Tanzila Narbaeva.
At the meeting, it was decided to convene the seventh plenary session of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on 11 September 2020.
Senate Chairwoman Tanzila Narbayeva noted that under the leadership of the head of state, large-scale reforms are being carried out in the political, socio-economic, cultural and spiritual spheres, and significant efforts are being made to build a new Uzbekistan. In addition, they noted the need to pay priority attention to the timely solution of problems raised by the population during the direct dialogue. They also emphasized the relevance of taking into account public opinion on each issue included in the agenda of the plenary session, as well as constant study and discussion of regional problems.
At the plenary session, which will be held in the form of video conferencing, it is planned to consider a number of issues.
Among them are laws “On the rights of persons with disabilities”, “On international commercial arbitration”, “On the prevention and treatment of drug addiction diseases”, “On amendments to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with the improvement of the activities of Kengashes of people's deputies”, “On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan in order to increase the efficiency of the use of agricultural land and forest resources "," On amendments and additions to some legislative acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the same time, it is planned to consider the information of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the execution of the State budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the first half of 2020.
In addition, it is planned to discuss issues of sending parliamentary inquiries to the Cabinet of Ministers on the status of measures taken to develop scientific activities, as well as on the conditions created for the development of women's entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan.
