Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 April, a meeting of the Governing Council for Coordinating the Activities of the National Research University "Tashkent Institute of Irrigation Engineers and Agricultural Mechanization” (TIIEAM).

The Council was established in accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to radically improve the system of training engineering personnel for sectors of the economy based on innovation and digitalization" from 10 December 2021.

The key tasks of the Council are the development and approval of long-term and medium-term programs for the strategic development of the University, the formation of its business plan and the approval of the main financial indicators. The Council also coordinates the transfer of educational, research and scientific developments in the field of agricultural and water management technologies, as well as the interaction of the University with the Academy of Sciences and industry research institutes. In addition, the Council’s competence includes the issues of commercializing scientific developments and promoting start-up projects, attracting investments in educational and research processes, as well as establishing effective relations with leading foreign higher educational and research institutions.

During the meeting, the Secretary of the Council, Rector of the University B. Mirzaev presented a report on the measures taken to implement the above Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Also at the meeting, a number of organizational, administrative and financial issues related to the activities of the University were considered, for each of which appropriate decisions were made.
