Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 December 2020, a meeting of the extraordinary Presidium of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where the results of the activities of the outgoing 2020 were summed up, and prospects for 2021 were considered.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan Adham Ikramov, members of the Presidium of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as representatives of the business community from each city and region of the republic, local authorities.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry has made it a tradition to openly discuss with the members of the Presidium and entrepreneurs the work done during the year to develop entrepreneurship and handicrafts.
It is worth noting that about 105 thousand claims were filed in favor of the members of the chamber, 1.8 thousand cases were resolved through mediation, and an examination of 865 draft laws, resolutions and other regulations was carried out to assess their impact on the business environment.
As a result of measures to support the population, as well as their widespread involvement in entrepreneurial activity, 92 thousand business entities were created, as well as 21.8 thousand entrepreneurs and citizens were trained to improve skills and teach the basics of entrepreneurship.
Thanks to about 20 Decrees and Resolutions signed by the Head of our state, it was during the period of the introduction of quarantine restrictions that more than 60 thousand small businesses affected by the pandemic were exempted from property and land taxes, 21 thousand entrepreneurs were exempted from levying taxes and fines for unused facilities , for 329 thousand small enterprises the social tax rate was reduced from 12% to 1%, the imposition of fines on more than 4 thousand enterprises with accounts receivable in foreign economic activity was suspended.
Thus, more than 52% of small and private businesses were created in the last 3 years alone.
During the meeting of the Presidium, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan came up with an initiative to support young people by teaching them professional skills, folk crafts, as well as attracting them to entrepreneurial activity and further employment with the support of entrepreneurs under the general slogan: "Har bir tadbirkor-yoshlarga madadkor".
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry proposed, on the basis of the established training Centers in the regional offices of the Chamber, together with relevant partners, to train young people in a profession for their further employment at enterprises.
At the same time, in accordance with the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 13 October "On additional measures to improve the system of involving the population in entrepreneurship and the development of entrepreneurship" No. PP-4862, in order to increase the interest and interest of the population in entrepreneurship in the regions, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry , on the basis of the approved programs and requirements, systematic training in professions and the basics of entrepreneurship will be organized, including for young people and women included in "Yoshlar Daftari" and "Ayollar Daftari".
This initiative was unanimously supported by entrepreneurs, where most of them expressed their readiness to support young people through their employment in their enterprises.
