Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ashgabat will host a Dialogue of Women of the Central Asian States today with the participation of representatives of the countries of the region, heads of UN regional structures, Dunyo news agency reported.

According to the Turkmenportal news website, the participants of the meeting will sum up the activities of the organization in 2022, as well as coordinate the work plan of the Dialogue for 2023.

Upon completion of the Dialogue meeting, the adoption of the final document is envisaged.

"Turkmenportal" recalls that the chairmanship in the Dialogue of Women of Central Asian countries this year is carried out by Turkmenistan.

The Women’s Dialogue is the first structure in the history of Central Asia, created in December 2020 by representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan with the support of the UN.

In two years, the Dialogue has established itself as a permanent informal structure with its own legal framework.

New interaction platform was created in December 2020 at the initiative of the Uzbek side and with the support of the UN Development Program and the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia. Uzbekistan was the first chairman of the format in 2021.
