Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting of the Coordinating Committee of the Chiefs of Communications of the Armed Forces of the CIS Member States took place in Samarkand.

The meeting was chaired by Chief of Communications of the Armed Forces - Head of the Communications Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Major General Oleg Mishchenko. 

On one of the most pressing issues of the meeting of the Coordinating Committee, a representative of the Belarusian delegation made a report on the Concept for the Development of the Joint (Unified) Communications System of the Armed Forces of the CIS Member States.

The discussion of this issue aroused great interest among the participants of the meeting.

The meeting of the Coordinating Committee was held in a friendly and businesslike atmosphere.

The participants confirmed their desire for further cooperation on the functioning and prospects for the phased development of the Joint (Unified) Communications System of the Armed Forces of the CIS Member States.
