Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 19 June 2021 "On measures to organize the activities of the Cultural Heritage Agency under the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the innovative development of the sphere", a list of objects real estate of tangible cultural heritage, on which conservation work is carried out at the expense of the State budget, is approved by the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Tourism and Sports based on the positive conclusions of the scientific and technical research groups and the Scientific and Expert Council of the Agency.
The List of tangible cultural heritage properties has been approved, the conservation of which will be carried out during 2022.
In addition, this list includes a total of 34 cultural heritage sites, it is planned to spend 75 billion soums on repair and restoration work. Traditionally, the National List for the restoration and repair and restoration work of cultural heritage objects that are in disrepair or left unattended is formed annually in the republic.
In particular, according to the list of the current year, restoration work is planned at such sites as the Bahodir Yalangtushbia madrasah, the remains of the Talipoch fortress, the Ulugbek madrasah, the Amir Olimkhan madrasah, Kuk Gumbaz, the White Palace, the summer residence of Islam Khoja, Chodra Khovli, which caused a lot of criticism.
Also, repair and restoration work will be carried out at the cultural heritage sites of Kushbegi, Saiskhona, Salomkhon, Takhtkhona in the complex of the Bukhara Mound "Ark". One of the most notable projects is the creation of an “archaeological park” on the ruins of the Ark barrow complex. In the fourth quarter of 2022, it is also planned to carry out work to repair and restore the destroyed parts and repaired walls of the Masjidi Kalon complex (Poi Kalon complex) in Bukhara.
It should be noted that the amount of funds needed to carry out work to preserve real estate objects of material cultural heritage is determined on the basis of design estimates. Conservation work is carried out by the Directorate for the Restoration of the relevant cultural heritage sites.
If necessary, the Address List can be amended and supplemented by the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage on the proposals of the Cultural Heritage Agency, as well as on the conclusion of the Inspectorate for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Cabinet of Ministers.
