Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The increase in the price of AI-80 gasoline these days causes heated discussions among the population, and the lack of legal measures against it causes wide discussions.

In the near future, a resolution is expected to be adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan to control and ensure price stability for goods of strategic and social importance.

The Antimonopoly Committee, on the basis of this draft resolution, exercises control over unreasonable price increases:

45 types of highly liquid and monopoly products (gasoline, coal, metal, cement, etc.);

10 types of socially significant consumer goods (flour, meat, bread, sugar, vegetable oil, etc.)

The Antimonopoly Committee for this task:

- monitors the dynamics of price changes for these goods, analyzes the factors and causes that affect price fluctuations;

- in order to establish cases of unjustified overpricing, coordinated actions and collusion, directly penetrates the premises of economic entities, regardless of their organizational and legal form, and makes an inventory of available stocks in warehouses;

- gives prescriptions and instructions, mandatory for execution, on the sale of excess volumes of products identified during the inventory, and the reduction of unreasonably high prices;

- in case of non-compliance with the instructions and instructions on time, takes measures to bring to responsibility in the prescribed manner.

The adoption of this resolution serves to ensure price stability for strategically and socially significant products.
