A Large-Scale Park with a Lake, Amphitheater, and Skate Zone Opens in Chirchik

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Chirchik, a modern park has opened on the site of a long-abandoned square, becoming a true oasis amid the urban hustle, created for relaxation, entertainment, and connection with nature.

This large-scale project, valued at 30 billion soums, was carried out by International Beverages Tashkent, the official PepsiCo bottler in Uzbekistan. Landscaping works began in August 2024 and were completed in April 2025. The total area of the new park zone is 68 hectares, with 33 hectares already developed and landscaped.

From abandoned land to a new city attraction

For many years, this area remained neglected and caused concern among local residents. Today, it has transformed into a modern, vibrant, and cozy park that has already been called the new calling card of Chirchik. The project was initiated by International Beverages Tashkent with the goal not just to green the unused space, but to create a truly comfortable environment for everyone — from active city dwellers to families with children.

Special attention was paid to landscaping: over 3,000 trees have been planted in the park, including birches, willows, pines, ashes, maples, oaks, lindens, as well as coniferous thuja and junipers. More than 5 hectares are covered with American clover, forming a soft green carpet ideal for picnics. An automated irrigation system covering more than 10 hectares was installed to care for the greenery.

Infrastructure for active, creative, and family visitors

The park was designed with the interests of all ages and preferences in mind. For lovers of active recreation, there are workout zones, a rope park, a climbing wall, and an exciting Zip Coaster attraction. Thrill-seekers can test their skills on modern skate parks built according to international sports architecture standards.

One of the main highlights of the new space is the lake, expanded from 2 to 3.4 hectares. Its bottom is covered with a special material to prevent silting, and a jogging track runs along its perimeter. The picturesque body of water has become home to ducks and swans, with its water balance maintained by a protective dam.

The cultural heart of the park will be an amphitheater overlooking the lake. Concerts, festivals, film screenings, and other events bringing the community together will be held here.

Comfort, safety, and inclusivity

The park’s creators paid serious attention to safety and accessibility issues. The area is equipped with a video surveillance system, modern lighting, spacious pedestrian paths, and convenient parking. The park was designed with the needs of people with disabilities in mind, ensuring free and safe access to all its zones.

Today, the new park in Chirchik is more than just a landscaped recreational area. It is a lively urban space that unites people, inspires them, and opens new opportunities for active and fulfilling leisure — for both local residents and city visitors alike.
