Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Health has launched a health promotion campaign in Kashkadarya and Namangan regions. A team of employees of the central office of the ministry, specialists from specialized centers, professors and doctors of sciences of medical universities is working in Kashkadarya region, more than 150 specialists are involved in total.

As you know, in the course of an open dialogue with medical workers, the President of our country emphasized that there are a number of problems and shortcomings in the healthcare system that are waiting for their solution, and the population is not completely satisfied with this area. Consequently, in order to effectively address these issues, measures have been identified in seven important areas. This health promotion campaign is organized as part of the implementation of these local priorities.

The campaign is carried out in two stages. At the first stage, specialists, divided into groups for each city and district of the region, will conduct a population health survey on the basis of the “honadonbai” (house by house) principle, and will also identify people’s problems related to the medical field as a whole. Propaganda activities will also be held among citizens to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including disease prevention.

In the context of regions, a list of the category of the population in need of treatment will be compiled and classified by severity. Patients in need of high-tech practices will be recommended for surgery at the expense of state health insurance and relevant funds.

Thus, it is planned, first of all, to increase the availability of specialized medical services for the population. The campaign also aims to help improve public health by traveling to remote areas in mobile mammograms, mobile laboratories and specially equipped medical vehicles.

As part of the second stage, a special group of the ministry will conduct mass exemplary checks in the Chirakchi district. In order to cover all segments of the population of the region, study the medical potential of the region and solve problems, visiting receptions will be organized.

A special working group will send patients in need of medical care for treatment, find solutions to problems related to the material and technical base, treatment, medicines and personnel. The results of this stage in the Chirakchi district will be analyzed. In the future, based on the degree of effectiveness of the experiment, it is planned to conduct it throughout the country.

Already these days, patients with serious illnesses who need high-tech surgical interventions have begun to undergo operations at the expense of the state. These operations are carried out under the guidance of leading doctors of the republican specialized medical centers.

In particular, over the past two days, dozens of complex operations have been successfully performed in such institutions as the Kashkadarya branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care, the branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Cardiology and the Regional Children’s Multidisciplinary Medical Center.

It is also expected that the necessary measures will be taken to create new family polyclinics and family doctor points, organize the operation of medical points in the form of containers, and establish an ambulance service.

The main objective of this health promotion campaign is to provide the population with effective medical care right in their homes, without creating additional complexities of bureaucratic barriers.
