Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The iconic Coca-Cola Truck Caravan, which has been marching around the world for almost 30 years, this year in Uzbekistan has begun its journey in Namangan, and further travelled to Samarkand, Bukhara, Urgench, Nukus, Khiva, and, of course, made a grandiose journey to the capital.
This year, the Coca-Cola, being a sponsor of the New Year’s magic, has told a beautiful and touching story about how miracles still happen, even if you don’t expect them, because you create them yourself.
In Tashkent, the Coca-Cola and its partners have a surprise in store for locals and guests at four locations at a time. The guests enjoyed magic fairs in the Central Park and Ankhor Lokomotiv, an extensive entertainment program in the Tashkent City Park and a traditional fairy tale at Humo Arena.
- I, like many others, grew up on the Coca-Cola commercials with Christmas Trucks and dreamed of taking a ride on one of them as part of the Caravan. With the Coca-Cola, my dream came true! It was an honor to be part of Santa’s Team together with Akmal Raimov and Husnora and to bring a holiday to thousands of visitors at Humo Arena. What could be better than a combination of Coca-Cola, hot pizza and music? The only thing better is an opportunity to share the goodness that everyone, who turned out to join this pre-New Year’s magic, has received: all the funds from the vouchers exchanged for food have been donated to the Ona Community Foundation to support women facing harsh life circumstances. I was happy to contribute to a New Year’s real magic. Miracles should happen to everyone, especially on New Year’s Eve! – GAFUR, a famous artist, said.
Every day, the Coca-Cola New Year’s Caravan delivered Santa’s crew, bringing together people from different generations and walks of life. Singers, bloggers, executives, and chefs from their favorite cafes and restaurants arrived at Humo Arena in Coca-Cola trucks. Santa’s crew raffled off gifts, cooked and handed out more than 4,000 servings of their favorite foods — pizza by Dodo Pizza and Ronni Pizza, pilaf by The Choyxona led by Roman Sayfulin, the iconic Olivier salad dish by the Korzinka supermarket chain, which was diced by Zafar Hashimov and assistants from Coozin project, flavored gingerbread by Pie Republic and Laziz Gulyamov, samsa, shashlik (kabob) and again pilaf by Bahriddin Chustiy himself and also juicy burgers by beloved Chef Burger. To the beat of hits performed by GAFUR, Oleg Ternovoy, Sabina Mustaeva, Zhenisbek Piyazov, S.O.S. and Ruhsora, to the jokes and contests from Viners and Bloggers — Mittivine, Khusnorik, Nigina Abdujabbarova, Kamila Gimandinova, Littos, Mado, Teacher Azam, visitors bought vouchers and exchanged them for food cooked there. All funds raised from the sale of the vouchers have been transferred to the account of the Ona Community Foundation to support women facing harsh life circumstances.
- It’s great that the Coca-Cola brought us together as one team. We are from different worlds and different generations, but today we are creating a miracle together. It is possible to do it only with the Coca-Cola and only on New Year's Eve, Zafar Khashimov, a founder of the Korzinka supermarket chain, said while preparing the Olivier, a New Year’s salad dish. - For many years, the New Year has been associated with the Coca-Cola Caravan, travelling through the streets of the city to the Coca-Cola’s “The Holidays are coming” song. My grandchildren and I were delighted to have a chance to join the Caravan crew, and to be part of the real magic that happens when you share it with others. It is consistent with the philosophy of the Korzinka, where we happily share pleasant emotions.
The real magic continued online —the New Year’s gift certificates from favorite cafes and restaurants have been drawn.
“The Coca-Cola’s holiday campaign this year conveys the irresistible, magical power of the New Year, which overcomes all obstacles to unite people of different generations and interests around one table. This is the real magic of New Year’s Eve that you want to share,” said Trivern Chetty, the Marketing Director for the Central Asia and Caucasus region. - Our iconic Caravan has taken all the elements of the holiday around the world, including the cities of Uzbekistan — music, trends, amazing decorations, Christmas gingerbread and other dishes, and, of course, the beloved Coca-Cola. No matter how difficult the path to this magic is, we believe that together, by sharing smiles, treats, and goodness with each other, we will certainly make it happen.
