Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 October at 22:13, a gas explosion occurred in a new building in Chilanzar district of Tashkent. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan.

“On 3 October, at 22:13 in the house number 59, located on the seventh quarter of Chilanzar district of the capital, according to the preliminary version, there was an outbreak of a gas-air mixture," the ministry said in a statement. The incident took place in the second entrance, in apartment number 36 of a seven-story new building.

Five fire and rescue crews of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene to eliminate the consequences of the explosion. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the residents of the house were not injured. There were no casualties.

The Emergencies Ministry notes that the explosion damaged several apartments. Windows and doors are damaged in places. Specialists from specialized services are studying the causes of the explosion.
