Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A Fiscal Institute is created under the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan.

The corresponding Resolution of the President of Uzbekistan was adopted on 4 November 2020 "On the establishment of the Fiscal Institute under the State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan."

Today, 73–74% or more than 197,000 of small business representatives do not have an accountant, which creates difficulties for them in accounting and fulfilling tax obligations. About 20% of new business entities that opened in 2019 ceased operations in the first year. There is a clear need for personnel whose theoretical knowledge will be integrated with practice - the real situation in the financial and tax spheres. The emergence of a higher educational institution engaged in the training of highly specialized personnel will serve as a solution to pressing issues.

The issue of radical transformation of the system of training qualified personnel for the tax service was raised by the country's leadership at the beginning of this year. For these purposes, it was proposed to attract authoritative foreign experts and use international experience. The State Tax Committee on this issue has repeatedly held meetings and exchanges of experience with professors and teachers of foreign universities.

According to the resolution, the educational process of the new higher educational institution will begin in the 2021/2022 academic year. The Fiscal Institute under the State Tax Committee will become the forge of a new generation of tax personnel with a modern worldview and ability to freely communicate with advanced information technologies. The main goal is to create a modern system of training, retraining and advanced training of personnel in the financial and tax spheres.

The new institute will establish training for bachelors and masters in the areas of "Taxes" and "Taxation". In particular, employees will be graduated with excellent knowledge in the field of financial control and audit, tax, financial and commercial law, information technology in economics. Fundamental and scientific and practical research will be carried out at a high level.

Particular attention is paid to the exchange of experience with foreign educational institutions and the active involvement of foreign scientists and specialists in the educational process. In particular, a subdivision (faculty) of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation will be created in the structure of the institute. The creation of this institute will improve the qualifications of experienced tax service specialists with secondary specialized education.

Important: operating universities do not teach information programs (of which there are about 50), which are actively used in the tax service. This significantly slows down the process of initial adaptation of graduates who come to work in the tax field. The created Fiscal Institute will provide full training for young specialists.

In addition, the new university organizes training on educational programs of higher educational institutions, which are simultaneously in the top 1000 positions in the ratings of all internationally recognized organizations - Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings, Times Higher Education and Academic Ranking of World Universities.

At the Institute, from the 2020/2021 academic year, the Ferghana and Tashkent tax colleges are being reorganized - into the Fergana and Tashkent tax colleges.

The creation of the new Fiscal Institute will play an important role in increasing the customer focus of the tax service, improve the quality of work and the image of the tax authorities, as reliable partners and highly qualified taxpayer consultants.
