Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the initiative of the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports, on 9 April this year, a festival of national folk games was held in the village of Samsara, Tashkent region, under the motto "National values are our incomparable wealth."

The purpose of organizing this event is to ensure the implementation of resolution “On additional measures to support a healthy lifestyle and increase the physical activity of the population” under the motto “Let’s defeat the pandemic with sports” and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On additional measures to support a healthy lifestyle and increase the physical activity of the population .

The festival was attended by sports propagandists and members of their families, representatives of various ministries and departments, as well as media workers.

During the festival competitions were held in several directions. In particular, competitions in national wrestling, chillak, pull-ups and other types of national folk games were organized.

According to the results of the competition, Sarvar Inoyatov, the chief specialist of the State Statistics Committee, took the honorable first place in national wrestling and weightlifting competitions.

Athletes-amateurs who successfully participated in the competitions were presented with memorable gifts.
