A dual form of education to be introduced in the vocational education system

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A draft presidential resolution "On measures to accelerate reforms and develop professional skills to bring the vocational education system to a new level" has been posted for discussion.

From 1 June 2022, it is proposed to introduce a dual form of education in the vocational education system. At the same time, a state grant is also allocated for this direction.

The salary paid to students in the dual form of study is exempt from income tax and the unified social tax. And employers participating in dual training will be paid a subsidy of 4 sizes of basic evaluation value per year for each teacher.

Every year, the state will allocate 50 million soums to the best 100 vocational education institutions that have introduced dual training.

Vocational educational institutions are allowed to sell products produced during the internship. From 1 May 2022, vacant premises will be allowed to be leased for up to 5 years to self-employed citizens and business entities for organizing training courses or for the production of goods and services.

Until 1 July 2023, an information system for managing the professional educational process will be developed and gradually implemented. It includes:

attendance and academic performance of students, as well as maintaining group journals, lesson schedules and exams;

information about the structure, teachers and masters;

electronic contracts with students of vocational education institutions, online payment for tuition on a paid basis and accounting for funds and other data.

Scholarships can now also be awarded to vocational students. In addition, it is planned to introduce a new differentiated procedure for remuneration of managers and teachers of vocational education institutions.
