A draft law on strategic planning to be developed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will develop a draft law on strategic planning.

This is envisaged by the decree “On priority measures to increase the responsibility of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the effectiveness of the implementation of the strategic objectives of the socio-economic development of the country.”

The draft law will spell out the mechanisms and procedure for the development of integrated programs for the near, medium and long-term perspectives, which provide for the development of branches of the economy and the social sphere.

The document will also regulate the participation and interaction of state bodies and other organizations in the development of integrated development programs, the organization of their analysis, monitoring and final implementation.

The document will envisages measures to introduce a flexible mechanism for analyzing the adopted comprehensive development programs, which provide for the revision of the said programs on an annual basis with the subsequent introduction of corrective amendments to them in the light of changes in global and regional socio-economic processes.
