A draft Customs Code in new edition discussed in Ferghana

It was attended by members of UzLiDeP faction, deputy groups in local councils of people’s deputies, representatives of the regional customs and tax administrations and financial management, entrepreneurs, farmers and representatives of the exporting companies, specialists of the sphere.

During the event participants discussed the draft Customs Code in new edition which plays an important role in the regulation of foreign economic activity of enterprises, export-import operations, import modern technology and equipment.

– Current Customs Code was adopted in 1997 and until the present time is the legal basis for business in customs issues, - said the UzLiDeP deputy in the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis, T. Eshnazarov. – In order to improve this code was adopted more than 350 different sub legislative acts, more than 15 times were made amendments and additions to the Customs Code and 14 times to the Law "On Customs Tariff", which have affected more than 50 % of all legislation relating to the sphere.

– In new version of the Customs Code included the right approach to regulate formal relationship between entrepreneurs and employees of the customs service and contractual relationship, – says lawyer of Ferghana regional administration of customs A. Bazarov. – Changes in new edition Customs Code will be an important factor in the further development and ensuring freedom to entrepreneurs in Ferghana region.

At the end of the event the relevant decisions on all discussed issues were sent for further consideration to the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
