Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In October 2019, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited Azerbaijan and met with President of the Republic Ilham Aliyev. The heads of state discussed pressing issues of mutually beneficial cooperation and identified priority tasks in this direction.

As part of the implementation of the tasks, the delegation of Uzbekneftegaz JSC is negotiating the development of mutually beneficial cooperation with SOCAR and NIPI Neftegaz SOCAR on promising projects.

On the first day of the visit, members of the delegation visited the Bibiebaybat oil and gas department of Azneft and got acquainted with its work. On the same day, a visit to the experimental-test base "NIPI Neftegaz SOCAR" took place.

A meeting was also held on the implementation of promising projects. The members of the Uzbek delegation were received by President of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan SOCAR Abdullaev Rovnag Ibrahim oglu and SOCAR Vice President for Geology and Geophysics Huseynov Bahr Bahlul oglu.

During the conversation, issues of cooperation in the field of geological exploration in the Aral Sea, additional development of the fields West Tashly, East Tashly, Northern Shurtan and Garmistan were discussed.
