Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Uzbekneftegaz took part in the largest international event of the oil and gas industry in Russia and the CIS countries "Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum - 2021", organized as part of Kazan Expo 2021. The agenda of the forum is rich and rich in meetings "B2B" and "B2G", there is also a large platform with a business program, and the International Exhibition "TatOilExpo".
The forum is held with the support and participation of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov. The organizers are the ministries and departments of the Republic of Tatarstan, OJSC Tatneftekhiminvest-holding, the state scientific budgetary institution "Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan", OJSC Kazanskaya Yarmarka and ANO Kazan Expo and many others.
The international exhibition "TatOilExpo-2021" brings together expositions of leading experts in the oil and gas industry in Russia and the CIS countries. Among the exhibitors there are more than 50 companies, including manufacturers and suppliers of gas and oil equipment, oil corporations and holdings, oil and gas production and processing enterprises, oil service and exploration companies.
This exhibition also features Uzbekneftegaz, which for the first time participates in a separate stand. The stand presents the products of the industry enterprises, as well as information on production capacities, development trends of the company and promising areas of its activities.
During the Forum, a plenary meeting of the participants was organized on the topic "The EU Decarbonization Decision and a New Paradigm for the Development of the Russian Fuel and Energy Complex", which was opened with a solemn speech by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan R.N. Minnikhanov, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation A.A. Kozlov, also Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nogayev. The main topic of discussion was the transition to the Green Economy, the trend towards decarbonization and the strategy for the development of petrochemicals.
The Chairman of the Board of JSC "Uzbekneftegaz" M. Abdullayev also made a speech at the Plenary session.
In his report, he noted significant changes and reorganization of the oil and gas industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, its becoming open and competitive, as well as the favorable investment climate created in Uzbekistan and wide opportunities for foreign partners. The Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC presented a presentation of the oil and gas potential of Uzbekistan, information on ongoing large projects and international cooperation, he especially noted the involvement of the Uzbek energy market in the decarbonization process. It is worth noting that Uzbekistan plans to switch to carbon neutral energy by 2050.
The strategy for the development of the oil and gas industry takes into account the problems of decarbonization, while the program is built around five priority areas:
1. Transformation of the infrastructure of petrochemical enterprises;
2. Improvement of the regulatory framework to increase the penetration of special techniques and technologies;
3. Subsidy reform and carbon pricing mechanism;
4. Organizing actions and awareness raising campaigns to mobilize public support;
5. Environmental protection.
The Chairman stressed that with the direct participation of international partners and consultants of Uzbekneftegaz, a project is being implemented to create an oil and gas chemical cluster in Kashkadarya region, which is aimed at applying the latest technologies and techniques for processing raw materials with the least environmental impact.
Within the framework of the Tatarstan Oil and Gas Chemical Forum, the delegation of Uzbekneftegaz also held a number of meetings and negotiations with the heads of the HMS Group companies, the management company of TMS Group LLC and the Kazan Federal University.
The agenda included issues of expanding cooperation in the field of geological exploration and production of hydrocarbons, participation of foreign companies in promising investment projects for deep processing of natural gas, as well as training personnel in the oil and gas sector.
