A delegation of Uzbekneftegaz hold talks with representatives of Credit Agricole and Credit Suisse

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to bring Uzbekneftegaz’s cooperation with international financial institutions to a new level, to effectively use the experience of international financial institutions, members of the delegation headed by Chairman of the Board Mekhriddin Abdullayev paid a working visit to London. 

During the visit to London, the delegation of the company, headed by the Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz, met with representatives of large international banks such as Credit Agricole and Credit Suisse.

Credit Suisse"was founded in 1856 and occupies a prestigious place not only in Switzerland, but throughout the world.

The delegation of Uzbekneftegaz plans long-term cooperation with the Credit Suisse, which since 2011 has been a globally systemically important and reliable bank.

During the meeting, bank employees expressed their interest in the production and processing of natural gas by Uzbekneftegaz, the production of petroleum products and their delivery to consumers.

In turn, they were acquainted with the general activities of Uzbekneftegaz, the implementation of investment projects in the field of deep processing of hydrocarbons, as well as the work done in recent years.

Representatives of the Credit Agricole and Credit Suisse approved a positive audit opinion on the financial statements of Uzbekneftegaz, compiled on the basis of international financial reporting standards, as well as for the first time in its history the company received a rating of "BB -" from "Fitch Ratings" with forecast "stable" and successful placement of debut Eurobonds in the amount of US$700.0 million on the London Stock Exchange.

Officials of the international bank Credit Agricole, which is a French financial conglomerate, also noted that they have a lot of information about the activities of Uzbekneftegaz.

Representatives of Credit Agricole, one of the “big four” of the country’s banking market and one of the ten largest banks in the world in terms of assets in 2018, also showed interest in the GTL Uzbekistan plant.

Representatives of the banks emphasized their readiness to establish mutually beneficial cooperation and offered to further study the materials necessary to make proposals for financial products, taking into account the needs of Uzbekneftegaz.

As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on the continuation of regular contacts and the mutual development of all existing promising areas of cooperation.
