Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 29 January - 2 February 2023, a delegation of Uzbekistan headed by the Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Foreign Policy, Deputy Secretary of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov visited Italy.

During the visit, meetings were held with Minister Plenipotentiary, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of Italy F. Cassese, Diplomatic Advisor to the Prime Minister F. Talo, Minister of Defense G. Crosetto, Minister of the Interior M. Piantedosi, as well as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation E. Chirielli and other officials of the Italian government.

Also during the visit, bilateral talks were held with Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Qu Dongyu, President of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) A. Lario, and Vice President of the Italian Society of International Organizations R. Sessa.

During the events, a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, trade and investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres was discussed.

There was also an exchange of views on regional and international security.
